Biography With experience as an actor, historian, and teacher, Goddard brings a unique perspective to her historical events.
Trained as a historian, she earned a Ph.D. from Northwestern University specializing in U.S. cultural history, American studies, and women's history. She also holds both a master's and a bachelor's degree in theater and a master's degree in museum studies. Her programs combine her experience as a museum educator and actor with her background as a researcher and historian.
Goddard writes and lectures extensively on American history in the 19th and early 20th century, with particular expertise in the areas of women's history and U.S. cultural history. She has presented numerous lectures and workshops for museums, community centers, and civic organizations.
